About This Role
We are looking for an experienced cost accountant to come in and join our rapidly growing accounting team. The Cost Accountant Manager will be responsible for driving accuracy and auditability of client’s quickly expanding inventory footprint. They will lead an efficient inventory close by ensuring that book-to-book inventory is consistently accurate and by providing clarity into current period costs.
  • Fully Remote
  • Pay Rate - $55 -60/-hr W2 with benefits
  • Project Duration - 6-9 months, with potential to extend 12-15 months and beyond.

What You Will Work On
  • Work closely with our internal supply chain team to maintain an accurate book inventory
  • Analyze manufacturing operations and the impact on average costing
  • Problem solve inventory discrepancies with our third-party providers
  • Provide insight and solutions into recurring transactional inventory issues
  • Monitor and record all inventory adjustments
  • Drive bi-weekly book-to-book and period end inventory reconciliations
  • Perform standard month end costing entries such as obsolescence, cost capitalization, and yield.
  • Prepare a standard set of month end closing reports
  • Lead on-site audits of wall-to-wall warehouse counts
  • Analyze monthly inventory transactions for completeness
  • Take point on inventory related year-end audit items


What You Will Bring

• 5+ years in cost or inventory accounting
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, accounting, or finance.
• Experience in food/beverage industry
• Expert Microsoft Excel Skills
• Understanding of business utilizing third-party warehousing and manufacturing facilities
• Advanced ERP navigation – Netsuite experience 
• Strong comprehension of GAAP
