Position Overview
Zema Global is hiring an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close process and lead our accounting team through a period of significant growth. This is a hands-on people-management role: you’ll manage a team of accountants spanning revenue/collections, accruals and general accounting, and AP/AR, and serve as the operational owner of getting the books closed accurately and on time across a multi-entity structure. You’ll be responsible for developing critical processes across all accounting functions.
You’ll be the operational backbone of a finance function being rebuilt from the ground up, with real ownership over how close works across a growing, multi-entity company and direct visibility to the VP, Global Controller.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the end-to-end close process and drive it toward a faster, more reliable cadence.
Manage and develop a team of accountants across revenue/collections, accruals/general accounting, AP/AR, intercompany, and payroll.
Oversee close and reporting across multiple legal entities spanning the USA, Canada, UK, and India.
Partner closely with the Financial Systems Manager to best utilize NetSuite and other critical systems, asking sharp, informed questions and flagging issues.
Build documentation and process rigor into a close function that currently has gaps in institutional knowledge.
Support integration of newly acquired entities into close and reporting processes.
Own technical accounting, including proper adoption of ASC 606.
Oversee annual audits and assist with tax preparation.
What You'll Bring
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
3-10+ years of accounting manager experience, including managing a team of 5+ people.
Direct experience with NetSuite (Advanced Revenue Management module required).
Experience with close management software (Floqast, Blackline, or similar).
Experience operating across multiple legal entities and/or currencies.
Comfort building process and documentation from scratch in an environment with real gaps.
Experience with company acquisitions or integrations, including absorbing a newly acquired entity into existing accounting processes.
Strong people-management skills, including managing experienced team members through organizational change.
Desirable
CPA.
Experience in a PE-backed or actively acquisitive company.
Prior experience managing accounting across U.S., Canadian, and international entities.
